My Porsche obsession with researching the Taycan. I’ve lost count of how many YouTube videos that I’ve watched. I really appreciate Doug Demuro and Out of Spec Motoring for their videos. It helped me gauge the car and understand some of the basics.
I did visit my local Porsche dealership. They have a 2023 for $74,000 that’s black with 100 miles. That’s a little steep for me. I’m sure I would qualify for financing but I follow one simple rule. It’s, just because I qualify doesn’t mean that I should.
I’m not dead set on a specific color, kind of open to suggestions. I am focused on either the base model or 4S. Those fit more into my budget that I discussed in my previous post.
I’ve always been a little bit overboard when I get interested in something. I spent every day for the last two months either watching or reading about the car. I can spend hours on the weekends consuming everything that I can. It helps me design a purchase strategy that’s right for me. Where I’m leaning to most is Carmax. I’ve never purchased a car from them before but I feel like it’s the easiest option for me.
I have been looking at Carvana but struggling with buying a car without seeing it in person. I’m just not that comfortable. Plus I would have to figure out how to sell my current car myself. The closest Carvana to me is in Oklahoma which is about three hours away.
Anyway those two sites have the most Taycan cars. Not only that. They make it easy for you to get them shipped. The reason that I lean more to Carmax is because there’s one literally down the street from my house. I’ll be able to go down there and drive the car.
