Tariff changes are a little uncomfortable for everyone both buyer and seller. As the buyer, don’t panic, and don’t make rash decisions. Remember, you don’t have to have the Taycan right now. You just want a Taycan or a Cross Turismo but you don’t need anything. You can go as long as you want before buying.
One of the Taycan cars that I’ve been looking at has already had the price raised. What I don’t understand is the car has already been on the lot and it’s pre-owned, so how do you just raise the price overnight due to tariff changes. Regardless it doesn’t change my thinking. I’ll sit back and see what the market does.
I’m thinking it’s going to get more difficult for lots to sell these cars. Remember, they weren’t really selling the pre-owned before at the cheaper prices. So, not sure why they think the Tariffs is going to change that on a car they already had.
Also, last night I had some time to look at the Panamera again. A pre-owned Panamera may also be hurting sales. You can them in the forties people, and they are still in good shape. Before I started looking at Taycans I test drove a 2019 Panamera and loved it. The only reason that I didn’t get it was because it had the check engine light on. I felt that wasn’t a good sign when the car was located at the car lot.
