Next-Generation Car Guy Has An EV In The Garage

Next-generation car guy

Are you the next-generation car guy? Times have changed, even though gas or internal combustion cars are still what most people want to talk about. Why would you like an EV (electric vehicle)?

An electric vehicle offers more than just speed. It has lower maintenance costs, and the battery location allows the car to handle better. Don’t forget that it’s quieter and sounds cooler with the artificial noise piped in. Don’t believe the nonsense that you have to have a V8 to enjoy a sports car.

We live in a time when cars can update themselves like computers. Let it sit overnight in the garage while it receives new software updates from the company over wireless. It can fix issues that the company has uncovered through the updates. Combustion vehicles don’t have that ability.

Whether we want to admit it or not, it’s like comparing riding a horse and carriage to the first Model T. You can resist all you want, but that doesn’t stop it from coming. The world likes to call these types of individuals late adopters—people who continue to resist change and don’t realize it until it’s too late.

The flip side of late adopters is early adopters. They can see the vision way ahead of everyone else and start to try out the change sooner. They reap all the benefits ahead of everyone else, having time to adjust to the change. Think of when smart phones first came out; people resisted, and some still had house phones. Now, everyone has some type of smartphone, whether it’s an iPhone or some type of Android. I don’t even know anyone with an actual landline house phone anymore.

Porsche Taycan has given the early adopters style, elegance, and luxury all in one. It’s something different; it’s more than an electric vehicle. Be part of the next-generation car guy and accept it as what it is: a car. Don’t worry about whether it’s gas or electric; it’s just an improved version of a car, like how the smartphone was for a landline.
