Wire Soldering An ESC Can Be A Beautiful Thing But Requires Practice

1 min read

Woke up this morning and accomplished the soldering of some wires on the ESC. When I purchased this used on eBay the red wire had come undone. I had soldered some slot car wires before but not any type of RC stuff. If it didn’t work, I was still in the same situation that I was going to have to buy a new one.

It was really hard to see the wire because it was right inside that cap piece. I don’t know much about electronics at all but I’m assuming it’s a capacitor.

My basic knowledge is just to make sure that the two wires don’t touch for any reason; that’s exactly what I focused on. I made sure to put some red covering over it to protect the wires when I was done. I believe it turned out pretty well. The true test will be when I try to run the ESC for the first time.

I have a love for all things toy car-related whether it's Lamborghini toy cars, Corvette C8 toy cars, or big car toys for adults. My specialty is looking for the best deals in the right places.

Vintage toy cars are something that fascinates me. What makes old toy cars worth money? The desire to have the car that you dreamed about as a kid. Having the income to purchase the car now that you've found, imagining the joy that it will bring.

What toy car brands are hot right now?

Looking for dad hobbies?

Let me help you figure it out.

There are RC cars for beginners and slot car racing for those with smaller budgets.

If you are on eBay so am I - happy hunting.

I also love to do home automation in my spare time for fun. I love to consult on all things computers but mostly for family. Technology has always been a passion of mine so I've always studied information systems. I have over 20 years of experience in this function and love it because it's challenging but also rewarding.
