Reasoning for Choosing RC Carpet Racing Instead of Getting Dirty

Carpet Racing

I chose to go the route of RC carpet racing so I don’t have to clean up a car every time I play with it. It’s painful to clean up dirt after every use on outside tracks. Most of my other cars are nitro, so that’s why I have to run them outside. I don’t really like to jump them because it seems easy to break them.

Actual racing will be a new challenge, so I’m excited. I have no race experience, but that’s not going to stop me. I think I can catch on if I can get a couple of practice runs in for a month or two.

I’ll be running at the RC Pitstop & Raceway in Newton, KS; they have a pretty sweet setup. It’s entirely carpet with a pretty good straight to get the cars up to speed.

Honestly, for me, it’s not about the racing but more about having something to do.
