Thank you to Walser Automotive Group for taking the time to allow me to drive the pre-owned 2021 electric Taycan. The experience was something truly delightful. I can’t completely put into words how this car felt.
There are cars, but some things out there set themselves apart from others. The Porsche Taycan sets itself apart from all other vehicles. See, I said cars, not electric cars. When driving the Taycan, you can’t tell that it’s electric; it feels like a normal combustion car. The only thing that gives it away as electric is how it has all of the well placed digital screens.
I was unsure whether I wanted a Panamera or a Taycan. After the test drive, I had no more doubts about which car was right for me. From the outside, the car looks large, but inside, it feels like a two-door sports car. Handling was so on point, it was just as good as driving a Corvette. I used to own a Corvette and that bad boy could hold its own on curves.
I was on the fence about an electric car, but not so much anymore. My commitment to Taycan has grown; now, it’s about finding the right one for me.
I had made a couple of assumptions before test-driving the Taycan. I had test-driven a Panamera a year before, so I assumed they would be identical. The Panamera is more like driving your grandparents’ car. The Taycan was like driving the dream car of your youth. It has the ability to be fast, but it’s still functional, capable of getting groceries in.
