Researching And Analyzing Winning Carpet Cars Now

Researching

I spent three weeks researching the best car for carpet racing. So far out of my element, I wasn’t sure where to start. My local track opened up around November, and I’ve been there twice now. Most of the racers are either Losi or Team Associated, so that’s where I started.

The hardest thing to figure out was trying to understand what different letters mean at the end of the kits. For example, if you see something like “DC” on Losi it stands for Dirt and Clay. Team Associated likes to use “D” at the end of their car titles which stands for dirt.

I wish I had known that sooner; it would have saved me a lot of time. There were a couple of times that I almost purchased the wrong car because of that. From what I understand, it is possible to set up a car meant for dirt or clay to run on the carpet, but I didn’t want to go down that path.
