Used Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo for sale near me

My Porsche Taycan Customer Review

Initially my quest started in 2024 looking for the base model Porsche Taycan. The beautiful design caught my attention because it separated it from the other cars out there. My love for technology has put me on the path for pursuing some type of electric car.

So how did I get down this path? I love sports cars; I’ve owned a Mustang and a Corvette. Always looking to step up one level I was thinking what would my next sports car be. I’m not rich, so brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini really weren’t realistic. If I could afford one of those it would be a Lamborghini. I’m also getting a little older, and I have grandkids, a dog so I need something that fits more than two people. Another requirement is that I wanted something that I could drive everyday if need be.

Being able to see and sit in one in person confirmed the level of quality of the car. Many YouTubers test drive these Porsche Taycan cars and focus on the speed. I don’t really care about going fast in a car that I actually want to own. I’m trying to limit as much wear and tear on it as possible. For me it’s more about safety and luxury features like the backup camera, Bluetooth, heated seats and navigation systems. Mostly because these are the items that I use in my everyday life.

My Dealership Experiences

Living in Wichita, KS there’s not a lot of choices when it comes to purchasing a Porsche Taycan. Locally the dealership that you must engage with here is Walser Automotive Campus. I’ve actually purchased three cars from them so far, which gives an idea of my loyalty. Two Lexus and one Jeep. Each time has been a very positive experience because the type of cars they sale are solid. All of my cars have come from the Lexus part of the dealership.

Lexus has taken care of both the Lexus vehicles I own. The Jeep we do take somewhere else, just because it’s a jeep (mini tank). The maintenance concierges are always nice and helpful. I like their honesty, and they answer any questions that I may have. That experience alone is what made me look at an IS500, RC F and a used LC. You’re talking about cars that you can get in and press the start button and they fire up every time with no issues.

The Porsche individuals are in their own separate building on the south side of the campus. I can tell you there’s definitely a difference between car dealers even though they are owned by the same company. On the Porsche side it’s more of a sense of whether you can afford to be there. I don’t really like that feeling. Whether this is true or not, my impression is that the purchasing process is geared more around leasing. I don’t want to lease; I want to own the car. That’s why I’ve been looking more at getting a used vehicle.

There’s a Toyota dealership that has a base model available; I call it the unicorn. At the time of this writing, it was a 2022 base Taycan going for $64,000 with 5,000 miles. That’s really not a bad price at all but it’s not a Cross Turismo. Should that truly be a reason not to consider this car very seriously? I love that the dealership employees took the time to treat me as a normal person.

So how dedicated am I to finding a Porsche Tayan? Every Sunday I take a drive with my dog to look at them. I don’t miss a Sunday; one it gives me something to do but then I’ll know if they received any new cars. Sucky part is that there are no Cross Turismos available in my area, I’ve never even seen one in person. The reason I want one of those is so I can use the back cargo area, which they say is 42.8ft on the Porsche website. As I mentioned before that I spend a lot of time with my dog, I would be able to fold the seats down and let him walk around back there if he wanted.
