During this process, I realized you must be truly committed to racing. If not, you are wasting your time and money. These kits and all the parts that accompany them are pretty expensive.
No matter how you structure your car setup, you are considering spending at least $1,000 minimum on a car. Using all used parts is the only way to come out a little cheaper. If you go that route, there’s no telling how much life you’ll get out of the car.
For me, there’s no turning back now. I’m going to run/race this car before summer is over. There are just some things I’ll have to figure out along the way. The bad part is that I don’t have any spare parts if something goes wrong. I’m into this car for about $1,500, which is more than my 1/5 Gas Losi 5ive T.
