Buy cars that no one wants at the moment and hold them. This is the way to make a little money in the future. No one can tell you what the car will be worth, that’s just luck down the road.
I’m okay taking a little bit of risk to make potential money. A perfect example is the Porsche 908 slot car. I purchased a couple of those cars in the mid 2000s just because I liked the way they looked.
Never did I think for a moment that one car would be selling anywhere between $70 and $100. Currently, I have about five of these cars, all with different race schemes. I didn’t buy them with the intent of making any money off of them. I truly wanted them for play, so I even added a Scalextric digital chip to them.
Not exactly sure what has caused these cars to get so popular. I’ve never seen them in a movie or television show so the demand has to be coming from somewhere else.
