Found the answer to my problem with this cheap ESC; Reedy 600z. There was one listed on eBay with a Reedy 17.5T motor for $70. I saw it earlier in the day but didn’t purchase it right then. I needed to do some research because I didn’t know much about ESC.
The 600z is categorized as a good starter ESC for those getting into the racing hobby; which is for sure me. I’m making an assumption that it’s a starter because of a lack of programming features and maybe the quality of parts. That’s a complete guess but I’m excited to get it in my possession.
I’m close to getting Hardyway Racing to the RC Pitstop by the end of February now. The only thing missing from the car is a servo. I’ve spent all day looking for a used Reedy with no luck.
I decided during the writing of this post to get a new RT3507A servo so I can start wrapping up the build process. Since I have one of these that I purchased for the RC10B74 I’m going to put it in this car instead until the new one arrives.
