What does RC stand for in RC Car?

RC stands for Remote Control

Cars have a receiver inside which talks to the radio (remote). Most radios that you purchase will have the receiver as part of the package. There are some radios that don’t come with a receiver but has the ability to bind to other brand name receivers.

Your receiver will talk to the servos. When you plug a servo into a receiver that’s what makes the steering turn in a car. The receiver will have an additional port that will allow you to plug something like a fan into it.

You’ll also hear people talk about an ESC. It’s usually attached to the motor and when you press on the throttle from the remote it engages the motor. ESC devices can also have fans that sit on top of them to keep cool. If you run cars for a long time it is possible to overheat them. Some cars will come with an auto shutoff mechanism to keep it from overheating.

I have a love for all things toy car-related whether it's Lamborghini toy cars, Corvette C8 toy cars, or big car toys for adults. My specialty is looking for the best deals in the right places.

Vintage toy cars are something that fascinates me. What makes old toy cars worth money? The desire to have the car that you dreamed about as a kid. Having the income to purchase the car now that you've found, imagining the joy that it will bring.

What toy car brands are hot right now?

I also love to do home automation in my spare time for fun. I love to consult on all things computers but mostly for family. Technology has always been a passion of mine so I've always studied information systems. I have over 20 years of experience in this function and love it because it's challenging but also rewarding.
