When there’s old stock available I jump on it. It’s a chance to get a brand-new car at a price well below most new models. It balances out some of the overpriced used cars out on the market.
Saw a Scalextric Mclaren F1 GTR (c3917) from Main Line Hobbies that fits this category. A couple of eBay auction items down the page there was a used one with a broken wing, $5 more. This is why you make sure to look at as many auctions as possible before buying.
If you don’t know what new old stock is, it’s a brand new car but maybe it was from a year or two ago. For some reason, the store wasn’t able to sell it locally. Now they are going back through their inventory and realize that it’s still sitting there.
